international visitors come sotf

Today i thought that the visitors told me things that i thought were interesting. They told me about most of their religions and also food and clothes. The visitors came to the class rooms during the tour telling the other students about where they came from and what it's like there. The students would be interested with these teachers because the student want to learn the different languages the visitors know and are able to teach, as so am i. Some of them were from Mylassia, Algeria, Egypt, and more. They also showed us there currents from where they're from. I think that this encounter with these visitors will be a pleasent experience.

2. Will there be another improvement in maybe another 30% increase for the children?
3.Is there any type of way that there could possibly be a change in the later future?

reading
About this event: 2006 United Nations Conference on Human Rights Migration and Development

what i read was about Every year millions of women working millions of jobs overseas send hundreds of millions of dollars in remittance funds back to their homes and communities. These funds go to fill hungry bellies, clothe and educate children, provide health care and generally improve living standards for loved ones left behind. For host countries, the labour of migrant women is so embedded into the very fabric of society that it goes virtually unnoticed. Migrant women toil in the households of working families, soothe the sick and comfort the elderly. They contribute their technical and professional expertise, pay taxes and quietly support a quality of life that many take for granted.

Voluntary and Involuntary Migration
About this event: 2006 United Nations Conference on Human Rights Migration and Development

The article I read was about Voluntary and Involuntary migration. It was basically talking about the different reasons why immigrants eave ther home palces and move to different places voluntary or involuntary. So they gave and example of a girl named Tina who was 27 years old. They talked about how she lefft Uganda to find her boyfriend, but where she lived was falling apart anyway; She went to go find her boyfriend in Manchester. Also how the girl Tina made it and found her boyfriend and she sent backserveral thousand pounds back to Uganda to plot land and herold house to be knocked down. This is basicallywhat this one article was about. This would be a case of voluntary migration because she wanted to leave where she lived. But some involuntary migration moght be because of natural disasters or life or death situations.

What I Learned Today??

Today I learned that everyone is the same it was called The Journey of a Man. It was about where a human identity came from. This pbs film was about how generations spreaded around the world. I think this is very interesting because we all caome from one place wether you american, african american, hespanic, chinese, or any other race. Well, that is what I had to say and everyone should treat everyone the same because we are all the same......

Stop The Violence
About this event: I Can, I Will...Step Up, Stop the Violence March

All of the issues we talked about today were about violence. There were many violent issues we talked about like when kids have bad additudes and they shot up innocent people. We seen many parents of victims who died in the Colimbine High School Shooting. People also say that music, video games, and tv make peole so violent. Well, the director of the movie was trying to figure out why peolple say that when the president help make some violence in the area when they throw bombs in iraq and kill innocent people.

Communities (South America)

From looking at the pictures of the community I could tell that it might be a small town. With little stores and stands everywhere. This community is different from my community because here on the streets there are houses on them and the picture didn't show any houses or huts. It is also different from my community because we don't mountains just on the regular street. However it is similar to my community because they do have stores and stands just like my community does. The most interesting thing that I seen ion the picture was how the mountains was mostly seen on the streets. I think that is so different because over seas cou tries are very different from over here in America.

9/11

I think 9/11 has effected me in some ways because I am kind of scared to get on planes now. But also becasue we never know what can happen next. Something could happen closer to us instead of in places like New York (farther away). Or something could happen to people we are close to and I think we should be grateful. I responded to Jabria's entry.

What is a profile

A profile is telling people about your self I think people should be explaining more about their self so people can stop with all the acting wild.
